Vegan Apple Cake (serves 8-10)
Moist and fruity, this is Autumn on a plate
Although this one is made without eggs, dairy or gluten, it still packs a fruity punch (of the non-alcoholic variety). Plenty of grated apple and juicy sultanas make this cake beautifully moist, while cinnamon and lemon zest add a soupçon of je ne sais quoi. It's delicious on its own, but we recommend serving this with some warm dairy-free custard poured over the top.
English apples, gluten-free flour blend (rice, potato, tapioca; xanthan gum), vegetable margarine (sunflower oil, water, sustainable palm oil, salt, emulsifier: mono- & diglycerides of fatty acids, colour: carotenes, Vitamins A & D), caster sugar, sultanas (sultanas, sunflower oil), ground cinnamon, gluten-free baking powder (raising agents sodium dihydrogen diphosphate and sodium hydrogen carbonate, rice flour), lemon juice, lemon zest, Fairtrade demerara sugar, salt.

I've only been GF for a small part of my life but have always found it hard to find yummy treats that taste good. However I was lucky enough to meet the woman behind these bakes and was treated to an entire cake made by her for a party and I can honestly say it's the most delicious cake I've EVER eaten. That includes any cake I'd had before my GF days! Chocolate & walnut cake..it's the best.
